with the stupendous success of the Baahubali franchise, Prabhas has become hot property not just in Tollywood, but across the country. Bollywood filmmakers have been wooing Prabhas, including Karan Johar, who marketed and distributed the Hindi version of Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion.
Apparently, Karan wanted to launch Prabhas in Bollywood, but talks fell through because the actor demanded a hefty fee of Rs 20 crore. The Times Of India reports that Karan recently approached Prabhas again, and coaxed him to come on board one of his ambitious projects. However, Prabhas had to turn down the opportunity as he is neck-deep in the shooting of his upcoming film, Saaho.
Incidentally, Prabhas spoke fondly of his association with Karan in an interview with The Times Of India earlier this year. "I made a good association with Karan Johar. If I want anything, I think I can ask him. He has helped us a lot," he said.
For the last few months, Prabhas has been immersed in the making of Saaho, a stylish thriller helmed by Sujeeth. The film, which is reportedly being made on a mammoth budget of Rs 300 crore, marks the debut of Shraddha Kapoor in South films.
Buzz is that Saaho might not hit the screens this year, as the team is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the end product is perfect. According to reports, the film will release on Sankranti 2019.
